Lots of powders come in plastic jars, sealed with a cover meant to be peeled off when you’re ready to use it:
- Drink mixes like hot cocoa
- Supplements like natural calm (magnesium citrate)
- Garden amendments like chelated iron
If you leave the protective seal adhered to the rim of the container and instead carefully cut a wedge with a paring knife, you’ll have a built-in teaspoon/tablespoon leveler!
(it also seems to keep the powder a little better contained, with less leakage into the threads of the jar or onto the countertop—if you’re not worried about that, cutting straight across might be a little easier all around)
