Dawn Foaming Dishsoap
Dawn is already sort of a miracle product, but once you have a lather you’re unstoppable. This gives you that on demand and allows you to quickly wash a dish or two without a fuss, or you can add a few pumps to a dish and leave it to soak (though for that I recommend the spray below).
(The link above is for Target; they also carry it at Amazon, but it's sometimes significantly more expensive and you don't need special refills, just dilute regular dawn 3/1 water to soap and gently turn the bottle over to mix — doing this means you may go years without needing to buy a new container of regular dawn liquid)
Update: if you have a dishwasher and your single dish washing is limited to pots/pans and baking dishes, it’s worth trying the spray foam—it’s overkill for a regular dish without anything stuck-on, but a miracle-worker for bigger messes—I’ve heard it can actually handle the horrible sticky residue that builds up on rarely used kitchen surfaces, and I have a friend who defaults to this one for bathroom cleaning as well.
