I think they originally made these to block the water from swimmers' ears, but they work wonders for blocking out sound. Be sure to follow the instructions — they're meant to cover the opening rather than fill the opening in your ear. And they can be reused — I like storing them in a contact lens case.
Update: my bestie wears earplugs way more than I do and has switched to this brand (the beige color seems to be actually different/better than the originals by increasing how many times they can be reused). They’re pricey, but there are volume + subscribe & save discounts (which also come with cute travel cases).
