Cooking for Your Gut Health is a great cookbook, even if you don’t have digestive issues.
America's Test Kitchen is generally wonderful (these are the folks who provided my recipes for my Advice: Eat fermented foods: including Fermented Kimchi: easy, healthy, delicious and sauerkraut and yogurt). If you’re on the fence, I highly recommend checking it out at the library before committing, so you can tell whether it will spark joy for you and your cooking style.
For some reason, the huge gorgeous pictures of food make it one of the most frequently used cookbooks in my arsenal. I really can just flip through looking for what seems tasty and then do it.
The focus on gut health means that most things are gluten-free, which is great for Perfect Health Diet compatibility. But they are also hip to things like “FODMAPs.” (I’m sure I mention this elsewhere, but pick up some garlic infused olive oil at TJs and substitute it anywhere you would normal use actual garlic, and use the green part of scallions for anything you’d normally use onions for).
Their high fiber Mashed root vegetables are hearty and delish (and introduced me to parsnips) and I love their kale and prosciutto.
