I first ran into these mini delights when placing an online order. They initially caught my attention due to their packaging: instead of a regular chip bag, they come in a pringles can—the ideal way of storing chips for my car snack bags: easy to grab, easy to open, easy to get chips out of, easy to seal up to stay fresh, and protected from squishing.
But before I could even take a road trip and appreciate them, I was offered a bag of mini Sun Chips on a flight. I usually stay away from products with any wheat (see The best Gluten Free substitutes) but I was intrigued.

They were great.
You might think they’d just seem like the broken chips at the bottom of the bag, but you would be wrong. The edges are maybe sealed in a way that doesn’t happen when a chip breaks? And the whole thing feels intentional and adorable. Plus: 39 chips per serving feels so indulgent.

And then I found half-size tubes of mini Doritos at Target (my preferred tube height for the car since you can reach the bottom pretty easily—I already have a setup where I keep the short Pringles cans and just refill them from the regular cans) and I’m now an official convert.
So I have the half-tubes of tiny triangles in my car now: nacho cheese + cool ranch (which is such a unique flavor—I feel like the late 80s did some really quality innovating, though growing up in the 90s, they’ll always be “cooler ranch” in my mind).
Pro tip: unless you live in a dry climate, don’t tear the paper all the way off the can—it serves as a secondary seal and keeps the chips from becoming stale as quickly.
