It's really important to move your body throughout the day and I feel great when I can cut down on the hours I spend slumped at my desk. I'm tall, and I generally like being up high; I'm happy as a clam perched on a bar stool. So I already want a tall desk. But one that can move up and down? To pre-set heights? At the touch of a button? SO GOOD.
Mine is the 60”x30” Jarvis from Fully. Keep in mind that you can also purchase the mechanical base and screw on a top surface of your choosing. I have a friend with a huge (and somewhat questionably stable) desktop.
And back when I worked in an office, people generally seemed to like having standing meetings around my desk better than being sort of awkwardly positioned in chairs.
There are also laptop stands that claim to have enough range to serve as a sit-stand option. See the page Laptop stand + keyboard + trackpad OR external monitor
I think an adjustable option is significantly better than just switching to a standing desk—the main thing to avoid is static positions. It’s bad to stand all day and it’s bad to sit all day. At a minimum I would try to schedule a buffer between every hour block to change position, stretch, and get your blood moving before going back into another call or work session.
