I already had lazy susans in my kitchen cupboards: one for oils, one for vinegars, and two for spices (the ones that aren’t part of my magnetic fridge collection).
But I am in love with this more rectangular and sophisticated device from IKEA that fits perfectly in my fridge.
Basically, instead of spinning like a circle, the complex shape of the interior track makes it feel more like you’re pulling the shelf out, turning it around and then putting it back, but with everything that had been in the front, now in the back. And of course 90 degrees into the turn, you’re also getting full access to what had been either the left side or the right side.
I recommend watching the little video available in the product photos:
There are suction cups to allow the tugging required to pull it along the tracks, but I’m also testing out whether it also makes it safe to have the whole thing right at the edge of the shelf such that when I pull it out to start the rotation, the side items actually come relatively far out from under the shelf above, making them easier to pluck out.
(The setup is particularly convenient for shelves that don’t have a ton of clearance, where you couldn’t really just reach over the items in front to get at things in the back.)
I also just love that someone thought so carefully about what would make sense here and I love that everyone along the way gave it a green light so that I could have something in my fridge that feels like it could be in a museum of industrial innovation.
Note: even if you don’t get this fancy one from IKEA, you will probably enjoy one of the rectangular ones from Amazon that have a less complex rotation (but also have suction cups for stability). e.g.:
