These didn’t make the first wave of items I added to this list, but for a couple years now they’re basically in every Costco order I place, so it seemed like they belonged here.
The ones I buy are called “Cashew Clusters” though honestly I’m not sure I would identify them as being 50% cashews if it weren’t in the name/on the bag. There’s also a significant amount of almonds and pumpkin seeds, and it seems like they’re baked together with some sugar and other sweeteners and then cut into cubes.
There’s about 1 gram of sugars per cube, which is actually not that much. I tend to have 5-10 at a time, sometimes alongside a couple warmed Aussie bites (Costco) and some Vanilla Chai Tea, as a snack.
I bet they’d be good with some DIY chocolate coating or drizzle and served at a gathering.
(One negative is that they are rather hard, so if your teeth aren’t in great shape, you might balk at the amount of force sometimes required to break the cubes apart/crush the roasted almonds.)
(Another negative is that the bottom of each bag collects sweet nut dust that’s hard for me to know what to do with. I’ve taken to pouring it into a mason jar and then dusting the little nut bits onto yogurt and berries as a sort of topping.)
