The almonds are always too small/the chocolate is too thick for the proper ratio, so I also get the little "handful of dry roasted unsalted almonds" to eat alongside the chocolate ones to even things out.
Update: Trader Joe’s now has almonds with just the right amount of chocolate! They’re called “slightly coated dark chocolate almonds” and they got the balance of chocolate to nut so perfect that I basically feel like I can eat as many as I want without augmenting with regular almonds, or worrying that I’m having too much sugar.
From the webpage that introduced them, they claim that “the chocolate-to-nut ratio ends up being about 20/80. (Typically, chocolate covered nuts are around 66/33.)”
