As an hors d’oeuvre, you can make mini caprese salads on toothpicks
Tiny balls (or slices) of buffalo mozzarella, basil, and cherry tomatoes
drizzled in olive oil + balsamic vinegar, salt + pepper
I’m not certain whether you should always try to have them be ~1 bite, or if a longer skewer would make sense as almost more of a shish-kabob. I lean towards shorter if people are standing and chatting — wouldn’t want people needing to pull things off from the side with their teeth.
